We experience what we believe. Our experience of the world is the results of the choices and decisions we make, our attitudes and our behaviours. We see the world through the filters of our deeply held beliefs about who we are, what is important, who is like us and who is different, how things should be and how they are. Often in the act of defending our own viewpoint, we fail to listen to other possibilities. We create stories that justify our own viewpoint and we lose our compassion for others: in effect, we objectify them. None of this makes for successful communication and relationships. All of this can limit our potential success.
My commitment is to help leaders make the connection between what they believe, the stories they are telling themselves and what they are experiencing. Through this awareness they can, if they decide, change their world view and create more successful, engaged and dynamic organisations.
I know that in high stake situations it is difficult for people to be all they would want to be. A gap emerges between their espoused behaviours and what they actually find themselves doing. I want to help people to recognise when the personal stakes are high and to be able to manage these situations better; to lower the stakes and hence increase their own effectiveness and that of their teams.
I really like people and I am committed to helping them create compassionate, wholesome, connected organisations where employees feel listened to, respected and valued and where employees listen to, respect and value the work of colleagues and leaders.

All change starts with a conversation. Yet, how often do we speak with our true voice when we are talking together about a change that has to be made? If we were to add up the cost of all of those poor quality conversations and those that don’t even happen; all of that missed opportunity, dissipated energy, and lost creativity, it would be of Greek debt proportions. Perhaps it’s time to change our tune to: a little more conversation, a little less fear.
My commitment is to help as many leaders as possible to become highly skilled in self awareness and self management; so they can lead their teams in a way that creates the opportunity for conversations that get the best outcome for the organisation and individuals.
I am committed to supporting teams develop their individual and collective Emotional Intelligence to provide the foundations for building a high performing team. A team where members can and will choose to have conversations where they: support good ideas, oppose things that won’t work, share and explore other perspectives, and truly listen to what others are saying.
I am passionate about working with organisations to help them shape new emerging models of leadership that recognise the value of a culture based on a shared sense of purpose, humanity, and empathy. Organisations where a customer service culture that delivers great outcomes is recognised as demanding more than the pursuit of efficiency and cost reduction.

I have enjoyed a long association with marketing, radio and people focussed communication.
Over my 30 year’s working with clients, management and employees to assist them with Engagement and Internal Communication and more productive ways to work together, I have found that by encouraging dialogue, creativity flourishes.
Listening to what your people have to say is one of the most powerful compliments and forms of recognition you can bestow upon them. Along the way you will get to know some truly remarkable people in the process.
I believe active listening, sometimes known as empathic communication, is the bedrock upon which great working relationships are formed and maintained in the workplace. How people interact, listen, talk and communicate at work is key to any leadership programme or strategy in order for a successful outcome.
I have a passion for leading people towards discovering their strengths and identifying areas where scope for development may be unearthed.
