Employee Engagement: Creating the “Deal” and Priming Conversations for Change
In Partnership with Edinburgh Napier University, we have created a two-strand approach toward Employee Engagement, shown below.
We undertake a survey on employee perceptions of the “Employment Deal” (the balance of the rewards and benefits that are received by employees in return for their performance at the workplace)
We frame the Employee Value Proposition (EVP) in terms of an exchange relationship, which we describe here, as employer and employee contributions. This means that your organisation can be more explicit about what contributions are expected of employees in terms of effort, loyalty etc. and what they can genuinely expect in return.
Throughout this process, we support you in delivery of your vision and strategy, drawing on your organisation DNA as the underpinning foundations for your own winning EVP and your ongoing adaptive culture.
Meaningful Dialogue brings the Employment Deal to life
Research undertaken by the Dale Carnegie Foundation has shown that the three key drivers of employee engagement are:
- Relationship with Direct Manager
- Belief in Senior Leadership
- Pride in working for the Company

"First ScotRail have worked with CHT (now Houston Exchange) on a number of key initiatives since FirstGroup took over the franchise in 2004.
