Don Harris of TalkBack, Andrew Keogh of Aristo and Catherine Thomson of the Houston Exchange have announced their intention to build on their unique approach to Leadership Development by collaborating on the introduction and delivery of an award winning Leadership Development Programme in Ireland.
Don brings over 30 years’ experience working with clients on their marketing and advertising needs before establishing TalkBack in 2009 to focus on Engagement and Internal Communication. He is a Coach specializing in Empathy at Work for Leaders and Teams because he says ‘by encouraging dialogue and a better listening culture creativity and productivity flourishes’. ‘Listening to your People is one of the most Powerful Compliments you can bestow upon them’ according to James Burton CEO of Calpers.
Don believes active listening also known as Empathic Communication is the bedrock upon which great working relationships are formed and maintained in the workplace. He says how people interact, listen and talk at work is fundamental to any leadership programme, particularly nowadays with the difficulties posed by overreliance on email in offices. As a broadcaster, facilitator and Speaker, he believes communication through 1 -1 conversation is being stifled, sometimes contributing to Depression and other Psychological Health issues at work. His focus is on leading people towards discovering their strengths and identifying where scope for development may be found.
